TRAVEL DESCRIPTION

Join us for an unforgettable 5-night, 6-day journey through Mongolia’s stunning landscapes, historical sites, and nomadic culture! This itinerary includes Elsen Tasarkhai, Orkhon Valley, Tsenkher Hot Springs, Khustai Nuruu, Terelj National Park, Ulaanbaatar shopping, and a transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport. We offer comfortable transportation, professional guides, traditional ger camp accommodations, and delicious meals for a seamless experience

Day 1

Meet your guide and driver at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Depart for Elsen Tasarkhai (Mini Gobi Dunes) (approximately 280 km, 4-5 hours). Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Evening: Arrive at Elsen Tasarkhai and check into a ger camp. Activities: Elsen Tasarkhai – Explore small desert dunes, nearby mountains, and a river valley. Walk on the dunes, watch the sunset, and take photos. Optional: Camel riding or sand sledding (additional cost). Traditional Mongolian meal (e.g., khorkhog or buuz). Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 2

07:00 AM: Breakfast at the ger camp. After breakfast, Travel to Kharkhorum (approximately 90 km, 1.5-2 hours). Kharkhorum – The ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit the Kharkhorum Museum to explore the history and archaeological artifacts of the Mongol Empire. Erdene Zuu Monastery – Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery. Tour the monastery’s temples, historical relics, Buddhist art, and the ancient stone turtle monument. Afternoon: Lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Orkhon Valley. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp (in Kharkhorum).

Day 3

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Depart for Ongi Monastery (approximately 150 km, 3-4 hours). Ongi Monastery – Ruins of a historic monastery in the Ongi River valley. Explore the monastery’s history, walk along the riverbank, and take photos. Lunch at a local restaurant. Travel to Bayanzag (approximately 150 km, 3 hours). Evening: Arrive at Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs). Bayanzag – World-famous for dinosaur fossil discoveries. Take a short hike among red rock formations, exploring unique geological shapes. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp.

Day 4

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Depart for Yolyn Am (approximately 180 km, 3-4 hours). Yolyn Am Valley – Located in Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, featuring a canyon with year-round ice and wildlife (argali sheep, ibex). Take a short hike (1-2 km) to explore the valley’s natural beauty. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon: Travel to Mukhar Shivert (approximately 50 km, 1 hour). Mukhar Shivert – Unique rock formations and a green oasis in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan Mountains. Walk through the scenic area and take photos. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp

Day 5

7:00 AM: Breakfast. Depart for Tsagaan Suvarga (approximately 250 km, 4-5 hours). Stop for lunch en route. Afternoon: Arrive at Tsagaan Suvarga. Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) – Unique cliff formations from an ancient seabed with colorful rock layers. Watch the sunset, walk among the cliffs, and take photos. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp

Day 6

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Travel to Baga Gazriin Chuluu (approximately 200 km, 3-4 hours). Baga Gazriin Chuluu – Stunning granite rock formations, a small monastery, and hidden springs. Hike to explore the unique rock shapes and natural surroundings. Lunch at a local restaurant. Depart for Terelj national park (approximately 350 km, 5-6 hours). Evening: Check into a Ger camp in Terelj and enjoy dinner

Day 7

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Activities: Optional short Ulaanbaatar tour (if time permits): Gandan Monastery or souvenir shops. Depart for Chinggis Khaan International Airport (approximately 1 hour). 11:00 AM–12:00 PM: Arrive at the airport. Bid farewell to your guide and driver, taking home memories of Mongolia’s history and Gobi landscapes.
