TRAVEL DESCRIPTION

Join us for an unforgettable 5-night, 6-day journey through Mongolia’s stunning landscapes, historical sites, and nomadic culture! This itinerary includes Elsen Tasarkhai, Orkhon Valley, Tsenkher Hot Springs, Khustai Nuruu, Terelj National Park, Ulaanbaatar shopping, and a transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport. We offer comfortable transportation, professional guides, traditional ger camp accommodations, and delicious meals for a seamless experience

Day 1

Meet your guide and driver at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Transfer to a hotel in Ulaanbaatar and check in. Afternoon: Tour briefing, inspection of fishing equipment, and discussion with the guide about the itinerary. Receive information on fishing permits, regulations, and Mongolia’s fish species. Evening: Welcome dinner at a Ulaanbaatar restaurant (traditional Mongolian cuisine or international options). Overnight in a hotel.

Day 2

06:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Ugii Lake (approximately 330 km, 5-6 hours). Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Arrive at Ugii Lake and check into a ger camp. Ugii Lake – A clear-water lake in Arkhangai Province, perfect for fishing. Rich in species like Taimen, Lenok, and Pike. Fish from the lake’s shore or by boat (boat available at additional cost) under the guidance of a fishing advisor. Basic fishing equipment (rods, bait) provided, though personal gear is welcome. Enjoy fishing during sunset and take photos. Dinner: Traditional Mongolian meal at the ger camp (e.g., mutton dishes or buuz). Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 3

Early breakfast, Ugii Lake – Dedicate the day to fishing. Target deeper parts of the lake or specific shore spots for Taimen and Lenok. Work with the fishing advisor to refine techniques and learn about local fish species. Lunch at the ger camp. Afternoon: Continue fishing at a different spot or using alternative techniques (e.g., fly fishing). Take a short walk along the lake’s shore to enjoy the scenic surroundings. Freshly caught fish (if available) or traditional Mongolian meal at the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 4

After breakfast, Depart for Eg River (approximately 200 km, 4-5 hours). Stop for lunch en route. Arrive at Eg River and check into a ger camp. Eg River – A clear-water river in Selenge Province, renowned for fishing. Abundant in Taimen, Lenok, and Grayling. Begin fishing from the riverbank using fly fishing or spinning techniques. Follow the fishing advisor’s guidance to adapt to the river’s flow and conditions. Traditional Mongolian meal or freshly caught fish at the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 5

06:00 AM: Early breakfast. Eg River – Spend the day fishing. Morning fishing: Target deeper river sections or specific current spots for Taimen and Grayling. Refine fishing techniques with the advisor’s assistance, tailored to the river’s unique features. Lunch at the ger camp. Afternoon: Fish in a different section of the river or try alternative techniques. Take a short walk along the riverbank to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Freshly caught fish (if available) or traditional Mongolian meal at the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 6

After breakfast, Depart for Ulaanbaatar (approximately 280 km, 4-5 hours). Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and check into a hotel. Ulaanbaatar City Tour: Sukhbaatar Square – The central square of Ulaanbaatar, a historically significant site. Gandan Monastery – Mongolia’s main center of Buddhism. National Museum of Mongolia – Explore Mongolia’s history and culture. Visit Naran Tuul Market or Gosudar Department Store for souvenirs. Lunch at a local restaurant. Traditional Mongolian or international cuisine at a Ulaanbaatar restaurant. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 7

07:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Optional short shopping trip or visit to additional Ulaanbaatar attractions (time permitting). Depart for Chinggis Khaan International Airport (approximately 1 hour). 11:00–12:00 PM: Arrive at the airport. Bid farewell to your guide and driver, taking home unforgettable memories of Mongolia’s fishing adventure.
