TRAVEL DESCRIPTION

Join us for an unforgettable 5-night, 6-day journey through Mongolia’s stunning landscapes, historical sites, and nomadic culture! This itinerary includes Elsen Tasarkhai, Orkhon Valley, Tsenkher Hot Springs, Khustai Nuruu, Terelj National Park, Ulaanbaatar shopping, and a transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport. We offer comfortable transportation, professional guides, traditional ger camp accommodations, and delicious meals for a seamless experience

Day 1

Meet your guide and driver at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Depart for Kharkhorin (approximately 360 km, 5-6 hours). Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Evening: Arrive in Kharkhorin and check into a ger camp. Kharkhorin – The ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Erdene Zuu Monastery – Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery. Explore the monastery’s temples, historical relics, Buddhist art, and the ancient stone turtle monument. Visit the Kharkhorum Museum to learn about the Mongol Empire’s history. Visit Elsen tasarhai, ride a Camel and Sand sliding (time permitting). Dinner: Traditional Mongolian meal (e.g., khorkhog or buuz). Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 2

07:00 AM: Breakfast at the ger camp. Travel to Khorgo Extinct Volcano and Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake (approximately 350 km, 6-7 hours). Stop for lunch en route. Arrive at Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake and check into a ger camp. Khorgo Extinct Volcano – Take a short hike to the crater of this dormant volcano for stunning views. Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake – Known as “White Lake,” a picturesque lake surrounded by natural beauty. Walk along the lake’s shore and take photos. Optional: Boating or fishing (additional cost). Dinner and overnight in a ger camp.

Day 3

After breakfast, Depart for Murun City (approximately 200 km, 4-5 hours). Arrive in Murun City. Murun City – The capital of Khuvsgul Province, a cultural hub in northern Mongolia. Visit the local market. Take a short walk in a scenic area near the city. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp.

Day 4

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Travel to Jankhai (approximately 150 km, 3-4 hours). Afternoon: Arrive in Jankhai and check into a ger camp. Jankhai – A scenic area near Khuvsgul Lake, surrounded by taiga forests and mountains. Visit the shores of Khuvsgul Lake, take a walk in nature and horseback riding, capture photos. Optional: Moto Boating (additional cost). Dinner and overnight in a ger camp.

Day 5

After breakfast, Spend the day in Jankhai. Activities: Khuvsgul Lake – Known as the “Blue Pearl of Mongolia,” one of Asia’s freshest lakes. Walk along the lake’s shore, enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Visit a local Tsaatan (reindeer herder) community to learn about their unique lifestyle (upon arrangement). Optional: Fishing or hiking to a nearby hilltop (additional cost). Lunch and dinner at the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 6

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Depart for Bulgan (approximately 300 km, 5-6 hours). Arrive in Bulgan and have lunch. Bulgan – A small town in northern Mongolia, nestled in a scenic valley. Briefly visit the local history museum or market to explore Bulgan’s culture. Travel to Amarbayasgalant Monastery (approximately 100 km, 2 hours). Evening: Arrive at Amarbayasgalant Monastery and check into a ger camp. Amarbayasgalant Monastery – A historic Buddhist monastery at the foot of Barkhula Mountain in Selenge Province. Explore the monastery’s temples, Buddhist art, and historical relics. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp.

Day 7

07:00 AM: Breakfast. Depart for Terelj National Park (approximately 350 km, 6-7 hours). Stop for lunch en route. Evening: Arrive at Terelj National Park and check into a ger camp. Terelj National Park – Stunning granite rock formations, green valleys, and serene rivers. Visit Turtle Rock and Ariyam Bal Meditation Temple. Explore nomadic life by visiting a herder family and tasting traditional dairy products. Horseback riding or short hike (additional cost). Dinner: Traditional Mongolian meal (e.g., mutton dishes or tsuiwan). Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 8

07:00 AM: Breakfast at the ger camp. Depart for Ulaanbaatar (approximately 70 km, 1.5 hours). Morning: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar for a shopping tour. Ulaanbaatar Shopping: Visit State department store or Gobi cashmere to purchase souvenirs, traditional Mongolian clothing, and handicrafts. Visit Sukhbaatar Square or Gandan Monastery (time permitting). Lunch at a local restaurant (Mongolian or international cuisine options). Afternoon: Depart for Chinggis Khaan International Airport (approximately 1 hour). 2:00–3:00 PM: Arrive at the airport. Bid farewell to your guide and driver, taking home cherished memories of Mongolia’s history and nature.
